My husband is European-American while I am Persian-American. We had a bunch of people of all different cultures and ages at our wedding. I was very concerned about finding a DJ that would keep everyone moving and having a good time. DJ Dariush was perfect! He was very professional in all aspects of his service. From music selection, to attire, to responsiveness to all of our questions and concerns. We were an out of town wedding (Newport, RI) his cost included all his travel expenses. This also meant that he would come a day early to make sure there were no surprises on his way here.
Everyone had such a wonderful time at our wedding and it was awesome to see everyone (including my grandmother who NEVER dances) dancing all night long :)

We could not be happier with a DJ than DJ Dariush. We had Persian/american wedding and he played a great mix of american and Persian songs for us. Dariush is everything and more we could have imagined for our wedding DJ. Not only was he completely responsible for all the equipment and sound system, he set everything up on his own without needing anything from us as a couple. It was so nice to have someone take responsibility and follow through when you are dealing with 100 other things! Dariush exceeded our expectations with regards to the music he played. All we had to do was send him a list of about 10 songs so he could get the 'vibe' of music we wanted. I even sent him youtube videos of specific songs we wanted that I didn't have personally. We used DJ Dariush's services for our Persian-American wedding in Brooklyn, New York in May and were very happy with his selection of music and his DJ-ing for the evening. I was a little bit reluctant to use an out of town DJ but DJ Dariush assured me that he does several events in NYC and he ended up being perfect!
We had a call before the wedding to go over the event timeline and music that I wanted through out the evening. We had specific requests for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, including first dances, speeches, and a last minute bouquet toss!

I am Persian and my husband's family is American. My husband and I (as well as most of our friends) like indie music, and wanted that reflected in our music. However, we wanted some Persian music for the ceremony and for some of the dancing. Dariush was professional, arrived on time, set everything up without problems, and followed all of our instructions about when and how to play everything. He didn't have a bunch of the music we requested, but he was able to get it ahead of time. The music for the Persian part of the ceremony was great and appropriately timed, just the right loudness. As far as the Persian music played during the dancing portion, my mom and aunt tell me it was recent stuff! People seemed to like everything and we had dancing all night long :) The indie and Persian music flowed together great-- Dariush really takes his job seriously! When he announced the last song, everyone groaned because we were all having such a great time dancing, and the night just flew by! Would highly recommend him, especially for weddings with more than one type of music!

He was set up and on time and even offered to help us with the music for our Persian ceremony at the hotel when a prior commitment fell through. There was a perfect mix of Iranian and American music and communicated with me throughout the night to ensure that I was satisfied. At one point, a guest had asked for some music but he asked me first before playing it to make sure I was ok with the choice. To me, that went above and beyond.
In all honesty, my guests remember DJ Dariush and were very impressed by him. My husband was extremely pleased as he was worried about everyone having a good time---everyone danced and it was a true party! I also thought his pricing was extremely reasonable considering he flew in from another state.
